As the founder and executive director of Cultural Awareness Fund, Inc., William established the organization to educate and inspire communities through immersive experiences that celebrate global diversity.
His vision is rooted in the belief that art, performance, and storytelling are powerful tools for fostering understanding and critical thinking across cultures.
In 2025, William launched the Ormond Beach International Day Festival, an annual event that brings together music, dance, food, and artisans from around the world to celebrate cultural heritage in a vibrant, community-driven setting.
The festival has quickly become a cornerstone of cultural exchange in Volusia County and exemplifies the mission of Cultural Awareness Fund by creating space for hands-on artistic engagement and intercultural dialogue.
William has held leadership roles on several influential boards, including serving on the Cultural Council of Volusia County and the Volusia County Business Incubator, where he championed local industries and small business innovation.
William serves as an advisor to the Volusia County Tech Hub, the evolution of the Volusia County Business Incubator.
He also volunteers with the Volusia County Economic Development Team's Innovation Challenge Task Force, working on ways to support local entrepreneurs and encourage new technologies. The Innovation Challenge is held once a year and brings together entrepreneur and innovators from across the community.
Professionally, William brings decades of experience in technology, founding and leading ventures that provide automation, telecommunications, and managed services to help small and medium-sized businesses grow.
His passion for technology began at the age of 10 and has fueled a lifelong commitment to innovation and opportunity.
As the majority shareholder of Solidus Communications, Inc. (OTC: SLDC), and owner of Wireless Florida, Inc. and Made For Tech, Inc., William understands how entrepreneurship drives jobs, strengthens the local economy, and builds a stronger future for families in our community.
William and his wife, Maria Beatriz Anez, share a blended family of five children who are the heart of their lives. Four are currently in college, each thriving in their chosen studies—a reflection of the family’s shared values of hard work, education, and perseverance. Their journey together is a constant reminder of the importance of family and the strength that comes from supporting one another.
A Freemason and former Cubmaster, William is deeply committed to mentorship and service. He is a lifelong admirer of the arts and a passionate enthusiast of modern classic automobiles—particularly Jaguars, which he sees as a perfect blend of design, heritage, and engineering.
