William J. Sanchez – Ormond Beach City Commission, Zone 3
To the residents of Ormond Beach,
It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to step forward and offer myself in service to this community. From the very beginning of this journey, my campaign has been guided by a simple but powerful belief: that Zone 3 deserves fair representation, fresh leadership, and a commitment to serving every neighborhood without favoritism.
After careful reflection, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw from the race for Ormond Beach City Commission.
This decision comes as personal matters require my immediate attention and a necessary reprioritization of my time and responsibilities. While stepping away from the campaign was not an easy choice, it is the right one to ensure that I can fully address these personal obligations with the focus they deserve.
I remain actively involved in our community as President of Cultural Awareness Fund, Inc., where my commitment to service, education, and cultural unity continues every day. That work—supporting our youth, fostering understanding, and building stronger community connections—remains at the core of who I am and why I chose to run in the first place.
Throughout this campaign, I have had the privilege of meeting so many passionate, thoughtful, and engaged residents. Your voices, your concerns, and your hopes for the future of Ormond Beach have only strengthened my belief that this is a community worth fighting for.
This is not a goodbye.
Rather, this is a necessary pause—a moment to take care of personal matters so that I can return, in due time, with renewed focus, strength, and the full capacity to serve this community the way it deserves.
I remain deeply committed to the vision that inspired this campaign: a stronger, more transparent, and more inclusive Ormond Beach. The conversations we have started—about responsible growth, public safety, infrastructure, and opportunity—must continue, and I encourage every resident to stay engaged in shaping the future of our city.
To everyone who supported this campaign—your encouragement, your trust, and your belief in a better future have meant more than I can express. I am profoundly grateful.
Ormond Beach is a special place, and I look forward to continuing to serve it—and to returning in full force.
With gratitude and respect,
William J. Sanchez
